Indianapolis Art Center > Art Classes > Glass

Immerse yourself in the world of glass making, the ancient medium once described as, “Half science, half dance.” The Indianapolis Art Center specializes in teaching beginning to advanced glassblowing classes to the next generation of glass artists.

We offer a variety of class options for students interested in learning about the art of blown glass, including: 7-week and 15-week sessions, private lessons, weekend workshops and one time Pop-Up classes. We are also one of the few hot shops in the country teaching glass arts to children.

Our state of the art hot shop boasts a new furnace and three reheating chambers, as well as a focus on igniting students’ inner curiosity in the creation of artwork.

Courses are repeatable to develop proficiency.

Intermediate – Advanced
These classes are for those looking to refine their technique while learning to make more definitive forms and move into using color applications.
